Privacy Policy

Carry is a text-message service that sends golfers a yardage card adjusted for the weather. This page says what we collect, what we do with it, how long we keep it, and how to reach us. We keep it short on purpose.

What we collect

• Your mobile number. It is how we reach you and how you reach us. It is also your account identity.
• Your name. So we can address you.
• Your course and tee times. The course you tell us you are playing and when, from the sign-up form and from your texts.
• Your course's location. The map coordinates of the course, which we use to pull the weather forecast for your round.
• Your texts to us. We keep the messages you send so we can act on them (a tee time, a course change, a question) and so we can improve how we read them.
• Ball-flight numbers, if you give them. Launch angle and spin rate, so the card can be tuned to you. This is optional.
• Payment. Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly. We never see or store your card number. We keep the subscription status Stripe reports to us (active, trialing, cancelled) and your plan.

How we use it

• To build and text you your Carry Card before your round.
• To text you a tee-time reminder the evening before, if you have reminders on, and to answer the texts you send us.
• To bill your subscription through Stripe.
• To keep the service working and improve it, including fixing course maps and the way we read messages.

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not share or sell your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Who else sees it

Only the companies that run the service on our behalf, and only what they need to do their job: Twilio delivers our texts, Stripe handles payments, Supabase stores our data, and Vercel and Fly.io host the service. Weather comes from the National Weather Service and Open-Meteo, and course maps from OpenStreetMap; those requests carry a course location, never your name or number. We also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Your account (number, name, course, tee times, ball-flight numbers) stays for as long as you have a subscription and for 12 months after it ends, in case you come back. Then we delete it.
• Cards we texted you are deleted from our storage within 30 days of the round.
• Message logs are kept for 12 months, then deleted.
• Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires it to.

Want it gone sooner? Text us or email support@carry-golf.com and we will delete your account and its data within 30 days.

Texts and consent

You agreed to receive texts from Carry when you signed up. Reply STOP to stop all texts. Replying STOP stops all texts but does not cancel your subscription. To cancel, visit carry-golf.com/account, or email us. Reply HELP at any time for help.

Your choices

You can see and change your course, tee times, reminders and ball-flight numbers by texting us or by signing in at carry-golf.com/account. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, at any time.

Children

Carry is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will text you or post the change here with a new date at the top.
